About Crystal

Hello Kinspire Family! I'm Crystal! I'm originally from central Pennsylvania, home of Hershey chocolates! I received my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University in 2006, then later completed my Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2019.

As an active-duty military spouse, I have had the opportunity to serve the pediatric occupational therapy community in a variety of capacities over the past 18 years. Highlights include launching an inaugural pediatric occupational therapy clinic for a nonprofit organization in Montgomery, Alabama, to include a dedicated multi-disciplinary feeding clinic, and a hippotherapy program. I've led a team of occupational and speech therapists as the director of related services in a charter school for autistic children, and a team of OTs and technology gurus in an innovative (for 2015!) sensory-based telehealth program. Other experiences include national and international school-based services, animal-assisted therapy, acute care in a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit, and travel therapy.

I am deeply passionate about relationship- and strengths-based, client-centered care. I believe that all behavior makes sense and is communication. I strive to be trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming in all I do.

I am excited that you're here and grateful for the opportunity to support your child's village!

Outside of helping families

Other interests.

When I'm not supporting children and families, my husband and I love to travel, hike, bike, and revel in the marvels of childhood while raising their 5- and 2-year-old boys.

I believe that supporting parents is the key to helping children thrive! When parents understand their child's unique strengths and needs, have practical tools to create a supportive environment, and feel confident in their role, the entire family benefits. This approach empowers parents to be the steady foundation their children need to grow and succeed.
