About Julia

I'm a licensed pediatric occupational therapist with passion for working on regulation skills. My journey began with teaching English in France and working as a nanny, and has taken me through yoga teacher training, training in teaching yoga and mindfulness to kids, and graduate school in occupational therapy. My graduate research focused on the benefits for school-based yoga programs for kids with developmental delays and executive functioning challenges.

Since finishing my master's degree at Washington University in St. Louis, I have worked in pediatric home health, an autism clinic, and a sensory integration clinic in Colorado. I have developed a keen interest in supporting neurodivergent kids and their families, which means I get to work on sensory processing and regulation all the time. I love continually finding new ways to integrate yoga, mindfulness, art, and reading into my work with families. My ultimate goal is to empower parents to recognize their kids' sensory cues and respond appropriately so that families can have a smoother day-to-day experience.

Outside of helping families

Other interests.

Outside of work, I love to play with clay and make functional ceramics on the wheel. I find that I am most regulated when I have time to make things with my hands. I also enjoy spending time in the beautiful Colorado outdoors, hiking and paddleboarding.

Kinspire allows me to work more deeply with parents to empower them with the tools to understand regulation. I love having the opportunity to get to know families on a deeper level than I would in a clinic setting, and make sure that our work is truly helping them in their daily lives.
